New OSHA rule for training and PPE violations

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently proposed a rule that could significantly increase penalties for violating standards that require use of and training on personal protective equipment (PPE). According to the proposal, when an OSHA standard requires an employer to provide PPE or training to employees, it must do so for each employee subject to the requirement. Each employee not protected may be considered a separate violation for penalty purposes.
