Securing your data—lessons from massive Equifax breach

In September 2017, Equifax's data breach hit the news. It was widely reported that hackers breached the personal information of 143 million American customers, including—but not limited to—names, addresses, Social Security numbers, credit card information, and birth dates. Three million of those customers were in Massachusetts. Of utmost concern was the fact that millions of Americans had signed up with Equifax to monitor their credit after other data breaches. Now, the company had its own data breach. So, what does the breach have to do with other employers in the state?
